The presentation will highlight key technical, economic, and policy challenges, share real-world experiences, and suggest collaborative strategies to accelerate IPv6 deployment across the region. This topic is highly relevant for our community, as IPv6 is vital to the sustainable growth and resilience of the Internet in Latin America and the Caribbean. Estimados: Es un gusto estar en contacto. Me comunico en relación a una actividad que tendremos en el evento denominada*/"La academia y la comunidad técnica en la región: sinergias, desafíos y oportunidades" /*que tendrá lugar el *miércoles 9 de octubre de 14.00 a 15.30*. La actividad consistirá en un panel, seguido por un espacio breve de conversación y /lightning talks /de 4 responsables de investigación. En primer lugar, querríamos extender la invitación a los participantes del Grupo de mediciones que asistan al evento. Esta actividad será solamente presencial. En segundo lugar, luego del panel tendremos un espacio abierto de conversación con los presentes (micrófono abierto), pero donde pensamos que algunos actores podrían realizar un valioso aporte desde su perspectiva. Dear all, We have officially closed the call for presentations for the Internet Measurements Working Group (IMWG) at LACNIC 42 - LACNOG 2024. We received many excellent presentation proposals. Below are the ones that made it to our final agenda: * ⁠A Decade of Crisis in Venezuela: A View from the Perspective of the Internet Infrastructure * ⁠Barriers to RPKI Adoption *⁠ ⁠A View of Content Locality in South America * ⁠Municipal Connectivity Score Based on Bulk Internet Measurement Data The session will take place on Friday, 11 October at 11:30 AM local time (Asunción, Paraguay). It will be available via streaming with simultaneous translation in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
